Vidi

Privacy Policy

Effective August 7, 2026

Vidi is an interactive, AI-generated short-form drama app operated by Vidi Interactive, Inc. (“Vidi,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what information we collect through the Vidi mobile app and watchvidi.com (together, the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions any time: privacy@watchvidi.com.

1. Information we collect

Account information

Before sign-in, we ask you to confirm that you are at least 18. We store the confirmation on your device and, after you sign in, record its timestamp and policy version with your account; we do not collect your date of birth. You sign in with Apple or Google. From your sign-in provider we receive your email address, your name (if shared), a unique account identifier, and limited profile information included in the sign-in credential. If you use Apple’s “Hide My Email,” we receive the private relay address instead of your personal email address.

Support and rights requests

If you contact us, we collect your contact details, the content of your request, related account or transaction information, and our response so we can investigate and resolve the matter, protect the Service, and meet legal obligations.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device. We never see your payment-card details. We receive purchase records (product, price tier, timestamps, marketplace, and a pseudonymous transaction and account identifier) through the marketplace and our subscription-management provider, RevenueCat, so we can credit Coins, activate memberships, and honor restores and refunds. We also keep your in-app Coin balance and a ledger of how Coins were earned and spent.

Activity in the app

Device and technical data

Device model, operating system version, app version, language, IP address, app and device identifiers, consent or opt-out signals, and — only if you turn notifications on — a push notification token and notification send-attempt records. If you authorize tracking on iOS, Google and its advertising partners may also process the device advertising identifier. Advertising providers may infer approximate location from IP address; Vidi does not request device GPS or precise location.

What we do not collect

Vidi does not ask for precise GPS location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access, biometric data, or public user posts. Vidi has no comments, uploads, or messaging at launch.

Sources of information

We receive information directly from you; automatically from your app, browser, or device; from Apple or Google when you sign in; from Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat when you make or restore a purchase; from advertising, analytics, security, and technical providers; and from campaign or referral links you use to reach the Service.

2. How we use information

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases depend on the purpose:

3. AI-generated content and your data

Vidi stories use AI-generated or AI-modified video, characters, and voices together with human writing, selection, editing, and review. Two things follow for your privacy:

4. Advertising

Vidi offers optional rewarded ads served by Google AdMob. After an adult user signs in, the Google advertising and consent software may initialize to determine which privacy choices are required and prepare ads, even if the user does not ultimately watch one. Where legally permitted, Google may personalize ads using information about activity across apps and websites. We use Google’s consent tooling where required. On iOS, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency controls access to the device advertising identifier and cross-app tracking. Refusing or withdrawing consent does not block Vidi or reduce the promised reward; Google may instead serve limited or non-personalized ads when available.

Google and selected advertising partners may process advertising and device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, device and app information, consent signals, ad interactions, and diagnostics to prepare, deliver, personalize, measure, secure, and prevent fraud in ads. For server-side reward verification, Vidi sends Google a pseudonymous account identifier and receives an ad transaction and unit identifier, completion and reward status, and timestamp. We use these records to credit Coins, enforce limits, prevent duplicate rewards, and investigate fraud. Review Google’s advertising policy. Where Google’s privacy-options form is available, you can revisit advertising choices through Profile → Privacy choices and through operating-system settings.

5. Analytics and crash reporting

We use PostHog (hosted in the United States) for product analytics, including app lifecycle and interaction events, device and app information, network information, and a pseudonymous account identifier. We use Sentry for crash and diagnostic events, automatic session status, device and app-state information, performance traces, and a pseudonymous account identifier. We use these to fix bugs and improve the Service, not to build advertising profiles.

6. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information for money. Our disclosure of identifiers and ad activity to advertising partners for personalized ads may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under some laws; you can opt out where those laws apply. We disclose information to processors that act on our instructions and to independent third parties that process information under their own privacy notices where necessary for sign-in, marketplace purchases, advertising, or other requested services:

Provider What it does Data involved
Supabase Database, authentication, and backend hosting Account, activity, coin ledger, push tokens

Quo Business calls, texts, voicemail, and voicemail transcription Contact details, call and message metadata, message content, voicemail audio and transcript
Stable Business-mail receipt, scanning, and forwarding Sender and recipient details, mail metadata, and correspondence content

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or acquisition. A successor will remain subject to this policy for information collected under it unless and until it provides any notice or obtains any consent required for a change.

7. Pilot votes and show notifications

Merely viewing a Vidi pilot page does not create our persistent browser identifier or send us an audience-measurement event. If you vote or ask for an email update, we record a random browser identifier, a random visit identifier, the show, your action, and limited campaign attribution such as the referring platform and campaign label. These signals help prevent duplicate votes and help us decide which shows to produce. The browser identifier is generated locally and is not derived from your IP address. If you ask to be notified, we use the email only for updates about that show until it is released or shelved, or until you unsubscribe by contacting us. No Vidi account is required to vote.

8. Data retention and deleting your account

We keep core account and story information while your account is active and then only as long as reasonably necessary for the disclosed purpose. Purchase, accounting, consent, security, and fraud records may be retained longer where needed to complete transactions, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or satisfy law. Analytics, crash, advertising, support, CDN, and backup records follow configured provider retention schedules and are deleted or de-identified when no longer needed.

You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) or email privacy@watchvidi.com. This promptly removes the account and associated information from our active app database, subject to the exceptions above. It does not automatically erase information that Apple, Google, or another marketplace provider holds under its own account and legal obligations. Records held by processors and residual backup copies may remain for additional time under their retention schedules and are not used for ordinary account operation. Deleting your Vidi account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription; manage that separately through the applicable marketplace.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have rights to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive information; use an authorized agent; and appeal a denied request. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right. EU/UK residents can also lodge a complaint with their data protection authority. To exercise any right, use the in-app controls or email privacy@watchvidi.com — we’ll respond within the legally required window. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify the request and protect your account. An authorized agent may submit a request where applicable law permits; we may verify the agent’s authority and your identity. If we deny an appealable request, our response will explain how to appeal.

Additional U.S. state disclosures

Depending on the features you use, the categories of personal information described above include identifiers; commercial and transaction information; internet or other electronic network activity; approximate geolocation inferred from IP address; inferences used by ad providers; and the content of support communications. We collect these categories from the sources listed in Section 1 and disclose them to the provider categories in Section 6 for the business and commercial purposes described in Section 2. We do not sell personal information for money. Personalized advertising may involve “sharing,” “sale,” or targeted advertising as those terms are defined by some state laws, including disclosure of identifiers, network activity, and approximate location to advertising partners. Where applicable, you may opt out through Profile → Privacy choices, device settings, or by emailing us.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. Rewarded-ad Coins are available on the same terms if you decline ad personalization, so the reward is not conditioned on consenting to sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.

10. International transfers

We are a U.S. company and process data in the United States. Where required for transfers from the EEA or UK, we use a recognized mechanism such as an adequacy decision, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK Addendum or International Data Transfer Agreement, and appropriate supplementary measures. Contact us for information about the applicable safeguard, subject to necessary redactions.

11. Children

The Vidi mobile app and account features are available only to people 18 or older who are legally adults where they live. The age gate appears before account creation. Public informational and pilot pages do not require an account; they are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that an account holder is ineligible or that we collected a child’s information, we will suspend or delete the account and information, subject to legal retention requirements. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of anyone under 16 for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you believe a minor has used Vidi, email privacy@watchvidi.com.

12. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls and encrypted network connections for our app and backend services. Payment-card details do not touch Vidi’s systems. No safeguard eliminates all risk, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to this policy

We will update the date above and provide additional notice when applicable law requires. If a change materially expands how we use previously collected personal information, we will request consent where required before applying that new use.
